View Availability →❓ FAQ — Portes du Soleil Ski Passes
Which pass should a beginner choose?
The "First Glide Pléney" pass at €28/day for the first 2-3 days, then the Morzine–Les Gets pass once you feel more comfortable. Do not buy the Portes du Soleil pass right away if you're a beginner; it's too expensive for an area you won't fully use.
Do children under 5 pay?
No, it's free for children under 5 upon presentation of proof of age (ID card, family record book, passport).
Can I buy my pass on the same day?
Yes, at the lift ticket offices. However, you will pay 10% more than online and risk standing in line. It's best to buy online 3 days in advance.
Is the Morzine–Les Gets pass enough?
Yes, for 70% of skiers. The 120 km of slopes in Morzine–Les Gets is more than enough for a week, especially if you are a beginner or intermediate. The Portes du Soleil pass is only useful if you want to explore Avoriaz, Châtel, and Switzerland.
Are there half-day passes?
Yes, the afternoon pass (1pm-5pm) is available at a reduced rate. Perfect if you arrive late or want to ski less.
Can I use my pass over several non-consecutive days?
No. 6-day passes are for 6 consecutive days. If you want to ski 3 days, take a break, and then ski 3 more days, you must buy two 3-day passes (which is more expensive).
Is the Hands-Free badge mandatory?
Yes, it's the only format available. It costs €3 (refundable deposit if you return it at the end of your stay). Keep it for the next year so you don't have to pay again.
What happens if I lose my ski pass?
You can block and reprint it if you bought it online (first/last name registered). If bought at the ticket office without registration, it's lost (no refund).
